Kolben smiled at Emy from across the white marble patio table.  He had made the table with his own two hands.  He could carve such intricate patterns into the hard stone using only his mind as a sculpting tool.  Ben had taught him much too quickly how to force matter to do his bidding.  His training with Ben had twisted Kolben’s mind and only the love he shared with Emy could repair the damage Benwald had done.  
 
Lepton had learned from Ben for a short time as well before Galinor put a stop to it.  Then in his desperation for revenge, Lepton turned to Iuz for more power.  Iuz was imbedding abilities into Lepton’s mind without any proper training and Kolben feared for Lepton’s sanity.  
 
Lepton reached out to the marble table and tried to score it with his new abilities.  Kolben guided him delicately, aware of Lepton’s fragile state of mind.
 

 
Imagine yourself scratching the surface of the marble with your mind Lepton.  Only then will you be able to break it.  Your progress should be slow and steady…  Like the Xorn.
 
Emy held her youngest son Harvey in her arms and watched her husband carefully as he spoke with Lepton.  Emy knew how this had gone the last time out and it wasn’t well.  Kolben had agreed to train Lepton and in exchange, Lepton would bring the monk news of his wife.  Kolben’s mental state at the time wasn’t good and Emy blamed the mind work.  It hadn’t worked out to well for Lepton either.  He quickly grew impatient with Kolben’s slower methods and reached out for quicker more seductive training.  Now he is bound to the god-king Iuz and his powers have brought him serious trouble. 6 months ago, Lepton was with his fellow Rejuvenators, trapped within the ultroloth asteroid.  The Blue Dragon Asche had arranged for his escape so he and Chandarin might “convince” the hate filled elf to remove the curse Lepton had placed on Asche.  For three days Lepton was their captive and on the first Lepton killed Raven with nothing but his mind.  A trick he’d learned from Iuz and with no formal training.  Iuz simply granted him this powerful gift to use as he wished.  
 
The contract between the Scarlet Brotherhood and Lepton had been broken and Lepton lapsed into unconsciousness.  He awoke the next day holding Raven’s dexterity stones close to his chest.  Chandarin reminded him it was no gift.  His own team mates would likely kill him for the stones.  To remind him of this, Chandarin took them away for a whole day.  The need and the pain that came from losing the stones were almost impossible to bear.  Lepton had never felt anything so powerful pulling his mind towards anything… even his revenge.  Chandarin offered Lepton a place in his brotherhood where he could hold as many stones as he was able.  Lepton refused and so Chandarin released him, knowing he would have no where to turn and that soon even his own people would be hunting him if the ever learned he had Raven’s dexterity stones.  Luckily for Lepton, he still had Emy.
 
Emy didn’t like having the artifacts in her home.  It was dangerous but Lepton was good to her children.  She felt a closeness to the elf, like how an aunt or a foster mother might feel.  Lepton’s brother Quark had died protecting Emy and Emy now felt a certain familial obligation to him.
 
The paradise dimension Kolben had found for his family was approximately seven miles in diameter and filled with lush jungles and beautiful lagoons.  Emy could see her two other children playing in their play-tower just within sight of the house.  Kaeli, her oldest daughter of five years was flying a kite.  She was so much like Kolben it frightened her.  Emy watched her as she tied her kite to the side of the tower wall and then quickly changed her form to that of a sparrow. She flew high into the sky so she could play with her kite more closely.  Kaeli could change her shape just as Kolben could.  She could only manage small animals so far but Kolben knew that she would soon learn much much more.  She was gifted.
 
Quark jr., just 4 years old sat patiently watching her sister and reading Emy’s holy book,   “The Principle of Love.”  He could mostly just look at the pictures, but sometimes Emy felt as though Quark was closer with the text than she ever was.  Quark knew things about her god that she hadn’t told him and asked the most amazing questions for a four year old.
 
Lepton closed his eyes and focused as Kolben had asked. He could feel his mind scraping pieces off the marble but when he opened them, the marble was still as solid as ever.  Lepton had to put his arms on the table.  The effort was exhausting.
 
Good!  Good!  called Kolben.
 
You were nearly there.  Soon you’ll be throwing the table around the room with but a thought Lepton.
 
Kolben smiles at Emy, giving her comfort and then turns back to Kolben.  
 
What are you thinking Lepton?
 
Kolben often asked this question and like everything else it was a lesson.  He could tell when Lepton was lying or if something else was on his mind.  Kolben insisted that Lepton’s control would improve if he learned to be honest with his self and his feelings; even if his feelings were tempered with hate and vengeance.

Emy kissed the top of Harvey's head and hugged him close for a moment, smiling as though lost in her own world for a moment.  Watching Kolben with Lepton was a mite exhausting, and if anyone had asked her,  she'd tell them she'd rather the beautiful table weren't scratched!   But this was not a matter worth mentioning at this point, not to mention just wasn't her way.  Instead she watched quietly, hoping secretly that Lepton wouldn't succeed.
 
It made her nervous to watch Kaeli shapeshift, even now.  A little girl was not easily harmed without her noticing, but a small bird was far easier prey.  Soon Emy found herself watching out the window intently, a subconscious smile tugging at her lips.  She loved her children more than anything, and fear sometimes tugged at her that it would be difficult to keep them safe.  
 
Somehow the need for a family had tugged at her heart for years, but since Kaeli came along, it had gotten easier.  With each one it got easier, this weight of the feeling that there were family members not here with her yet.  But there were more.  She could feel them in her heart, aching to be with her and Kolben.  How could she tell him?  He'd think she were mad perhaps, talking of spirits that she could feel.
 
Harvey squirmed and cried a little, so she stood and patted his back, wondering if he were getting tired.  Perhaps he'd need a nap soon.  His hair had grown longer in the past few months, mostly because she couldn't bear to cut the curl whisping the ends.  Harvey pointed at the ceiling, then pointed to his father, and Lepton.  "Bshhzzz!"  Emy put her finger to his lips to hush him, and decided to step into the next room for fear that he'd interrupt the men's concentration.

Lepton loosened his grip on the marble table.  It might easily have cracked under his Stone Giant strength, but instead he breathed the way that Kolben taught him and his frustration slowly eased.  Patience was a new lesson for Lepton, one that would be hard to learn.  He stood up and turned from Kolben.  He watched the trees, and listened to the children playing.  It was only the calm of this paradise that subdued him.
 
He fled to this world to heal the wounds left by Iuz.  He knew the monk could help him.  He knew Emy could not turn him away.  What he did not expect were the growing feelings he had found for his surrogate family.  
 
Lepton did not understand the magic that kept this place concealed, and though he did not possess Galinor's intelligence or Emy's wisdom, there was one thing he knew for sure.  The Rejuvenators hunted stones, and they were good at it.  The rocks around his neck weighed heavy even as he grasped them.  
 
Lepton broke the long silence.
"Raster will burn this place to the ground to find me"

"Sshhhh..."  Emy's heart nearly broke at the mention of these words.  "We are safe here."  
 
She came back in from the adjoining room and took her seat again, crossing and then uncrossing her legs, and fidgeting uncomfortably.  These thoughts always made her uneasy.  She glanced at Kolben, smiling briefly, but he could likely tell the uncertainess in her eyes.
 
This place is safe....they can't find us here.  Our family won't be hunted will they?

Kolben shook his head at Lepton and then looks reassuringly at Emy.
 

 
 
Yes my love… we are quite safe for now.  I am afraid that we may have to find a new place to live once Lepton leaves our peaceful sanctuary but still…  I am happy he is here.  You are welcome to stay as long as you wish Lepton.  Our children simply adore you.  Your dedication to your mind and body has inspired my oldest to keep up with her own studies.
 
He puts a finger to his temple and closes his eyes in hard focus.   He opens them and smiles looking to the window.  
 
Now Lepton… Back to Robin.  You are correct in assuming your loyalties mean very little when compared to his obsession with collecting the stones.  When I took Harvey’s fire stone as I stole his identity, it was Robin that found me out.   I could feel it in his heart he showed little remorse for his friend whom I could have easily have killed.  All his thoughts were bent on killing me and finally taking the fire stone for himself.  I fear your own obsessions will consume you as well given time.  That makes our work here that much more important.  The longer you can resist the urge to join this ridiculous crusade the more time we’ll have to remove this curse as I had done so in the past.  
 
Kolben look slyly at Lepton, gauging his reaction.  The mere mention of removing anything to do with the stones hurt Lepton to his core.   A small part of him wanted to slap and torture his mentor mercilessly for more information.  It was obvious Kolben was holding something back and the monk did little to hide it from Lepton.  
 
Just then, as if to break the tension stirring between Kolben and Lepton, a sparrow flies through the open window and transforms itself from a sparrow to a jack rabbit to a pot bellied pig in seconds before settling noisily onto the tile floor as a small smooth skipping stone with childish pink and purple flowers painted lazily about it.

Emy smiles and picks up the stone, holding it in her flat palm and laughing as Harvey points a fat, wet finger at the lovely painted flowers.  
 
"Who is it Harvey?  Do you think it's a rock?  Or a pig?  Or do you think a bird?"  Emy smiled at him lovingly and watched, enraptured.  It fascinated her how her eldest daughter had already learned this difficult skill and was able to transform so quickly.
 
Harvey laughed as though this were an absurd question, and half shouted excitedly, "Kaeli!"  
He clapped his hands excitedly. "Da.....Kaeli!"  He exclaimed to Kolben, clapping his hands again, and laughing.
 
Emy smiled apologetically to the men, sure that this would be causing a disruption to their work.  She shushed him as best possible.  "Ok, Kaeli.  Are you going to come out now?" She looked at the pretty rock and smiled, awaiting her daughter to come out of hiding.

Lepton is amused at Kaeli's tricks.  Her powers grow daily.  Lepton sees in her a potential that even her parents seem unaware of.  Lepton has spent the most time with this one, providing what little he could to further her education.  He trained her how to use a blade, until Emy discovered one day and put a end to it.  
 
Little Quark seems nothing like Lepton's older brother, his namesake.  When Lepton thinks back to his childhood, his older brother was already a hero.  But it was his strength and bravery that ultimately lead him to his doom.  Quark Jr. seemed more contrite and thoughtful.  Maybe it was for the best.  Adventuring is a hard life, and Lepton hoped that little Quark would be free from that burden.
 
Lepton sits again in front of Kolben, eyeing him warily.  
 
"Before the rejuvenators are released from their prison, I must leave this place.  Chandarin is sure to tell Raster that I have these stones.  That was his intent all along - to use me to break up the Rejuvenators.  To do his dirty work for him. "
 
"... and Raster knows that he cannot defeat me in combat.  I am immune to his fire.  He is weak, and his natural agility will be of little use to him now that i hold the dexterity stones."  Lepton clutches at his rocks.  "He will attack me where I am weakest"
 
Kaeli has transformed again into herself, and Lepton is amused to see her playing carelessly with her mother.
 
After a moment Lepton stands, agitated.  "BESIDES... Asche has not yet felt the sting of my axe that I promised him.  And IUZ too.  He thinks himself a god.  I will show him that even gods can bleed."  
 
"The vacation is over Kolben, it's time for me to get back to work."

Kolben puts a hand on Lepton’s shoulder…
 
If you must leave I will understand!  But take caution my friend… Do not allow your quest for vengeance to overshadow the goodness I know exists in your heart.  You can accomplish much more in life through love and understanding than you ever can with hate and vengeance.  You will always have a place….
 
Just as Kolben begins to finish his lecture to Lepton.  The flowered rock that Emy is holding suddenly become boney and covered in long sharp twisted spikes.  One of the spikes pierces Emy’s palm and she drops the rock to the floor.  The spikey mass quickly turns into Kaeli who looks up at her mother frightened; a long splatter of Emy’s blood smeared across her forehead.  
 
Both Lepton and Emy recognizes the trick as Kolben’s own.  Back when he had far less scruples, Kolben would change his shape into an arrow in Robin’s hand.  Then after a length of time, Kolben would change shape again into a large boney mass of death and torture.  If Robin’s aim was true, the boney mass would tear his target to shred leaving little left of his victim but blood and severed muscle.  But if he missed and Robin fired the arrow into stone, it could mean certain death for Kolben.  When taking the shape of an inanimate object, neither Kolben or Kaeli could see or hear anything as a rock has no eyes or ears.  All they could do was hope their  
 
Kolben rushes to Emy’s side and as te twe embrace for just a moment, Lepton sees a tiny grin cross Kaeli’s lips as she glances at her uncle; her eyes flashing with excitement.  Her look quickly changes to one of genuine fear when she looks back to her parents.
 

 
Mummy!  Oh No…  I’m so sorry…  Quark said Daddy used to…  
 
Kaeli then starts to cry and with tears streaming down her face, she begins to blubber apologetically.
 
 I’m sss…sss.sss..orry…  sorry!  I’m sss… ss..sso sorry…  bbb..bbb..  Quark…  sorry….. Mummy!
 
Emy’s hand twitches violently as blood spills onto the floor.

"Sh....shhh sweety.  I'll be alright."  Emy dabbed at her forehead, mystified at how her daughter could have learned such a dangerous skill so quickly.  And how had she learned it? By innately knowing, genetically?  Surely she'd never witnessed Kolben do this in front of her...."Quark told you?  What??" Emy shook her head, not willing to admit that her daughter could possibly be any less innocent than she chose to believe.
 
The pain brought tears to Emy's eyes, but she hid them as best she could, compressing the spot and putting her other hand around Kaeli reassuringly.  This new skill...well...it was dangerous.  And Kaeli was suddenly in the position to do harm to her siblings as well.
 
Emy kept her hand around Kaeli and looked pleadingly at Lepton and Kolben.  She stammered, unsure of how to explain this to her child, who so obviously was not mature enough to level with.  She would have to tell her how she had come upon this dangerous skill....teach her how to harness and control it.....but somehow Emy felt this literally wasn't her place.  This was a father-daughter moment that she couldn't intrude on.  
 
Emy hugged Kolben and leaned into him to whisper, "It's time". It was time to tell Kaeli what they were hiding from.  Why they were here, in this safe place she'd known for years.  She gave Kolben's hand a squeeze and smiled bravely, as though the tears in her eyes had nothing to do with the wrenching pain in her hand.  
 
Turning back to Kaeli, she continued,"Listen to me, darling.  You've done nothing wrong.  You're just more like your papa then we all knew, ok?" Emy kissed Kaeli's forehead gently, "but now you need to learn how to control this.  You're big enough now.  Papa will teach you how to do it on purpose, just in case."

Kaeli hugs her mom and Kolben rises to join his family.  Kolben takes the sobbing Kaeli outside, leaving Lepton alone with Emy and his  vengeful thoughts.  Before he leaves he turns to Lepton.
 
We will discuss this matter further this evening my elven apprentice.  Perhaps a warm Teragon tea will give us further insight into your desire to abandon your training.

Emy hops up to fetch the tea, and takes a fresh pie from her bread cupboard to slice up as well.   "Would you like some, Lepton?"  she motions to the giant apple pie and takes out plates and forks as well.  The kettle whistles softly in the background.
 
She looks forlornly at Lepton as she busies herself around her kitchen.  "You've been practicing quite a bit Lepton.  What do you think you will say to Iuz if and when you find him again?"

Lepton smiles at the thought of meeting Iuz again.  
 
"I suspect there will be little chit chat."
 
"He has given me the powers to defeat my mortal enemies, but he considers himself safe.  We will see about that.  My axe will pierce his hide like a warm knife through butter.  His powers lie in his ability to transfer his life essence to another vessel - I could kill him a hundred times.  As tempting as that is, I'll need to defeat this power if I am to exact revenge."
 
Lepton thinks quietly, and eats a piece of pie.  In Emy's home he has learned many new things, like table manners.
 
"You know, Emy." He seems unsure how to proceed, "I do not think you should visit Greyhawk any more, it is not safe - for you or the children.  There are those who would harm you, harm your church.  The Ultraloth will strike again, and this time seeking vengence.  Even now, Galinor and Robin descend into madness chasing the stones that will lead to their doom."  
 
"The Rejuvenators are not your friends Emy, death stalks them like a hungry beast, and it will consume anyone who gets too close."  
 
Lepton smiles and takes her hand.
 
"I'm sorry Emy.  Don't worry.  Once I am gone then you will be quite safe." Lepton is greatly comforted by that thought, until he notices her bloodied bandaged hand he is holding.

Emy fills Lepton's cup with steaming tea, and sets a spoon in front of him.  She fetches the sugar bowl as well, and sets it down between them, all the while saying nothing in return.  This was a conversation that should be approached wisely.  
 
Finally she begins quietly, "Lepton, I can't avoid Grayhawk and just not go.  You know this.  What am I without Greyhawk?  If they strike and seek vengeance, I will be in good care.  I am not so feeble that I can't defend myself, and I don't believe living in fear is the answer."
 
She adds a spoonful of sugar to her tea and for the next few moments stirs it, making a soothing 'tatink tatink' sound as it blends.    "I will not be quite safe without you here, Lepton.  It is the same no matter what.  If they wish to seek you, they'll still come if they know you were here.  If only for information of which way you went or where you hid the stone.  I will not change my life to please fear itself."

Lepton finally nods.
 
"So be it."
 
"Indeed, you are powerful Emy.  But it is not the lightning bolts you call from the sky, it is your strength of will.  Anyone who can transform Kolben from a dangerous rogue to a loyal protector deserves great respect.  I only hope you can tame the child.  She reminds me of Kolben... too much sometimes."
 
Lepton breaks bread and offers some to Emy.
"Our fates are tied together, you and I, as it was in the beginning"
 
"I will enjoy this last night of peace with you and the children.  Tomorrow, I shall hide no longer."

The two old friends sit quietly through the night.  Little is said...  even when Kolben returns and puts the children to bed they all sit in comforting silence.  It seems as though a dark shadow hands over the trio.  Lepton's and Kolben's twisted bond with the orc god Iuz hangs over them all as does Lepton's desire for vengeance.   Emy does her best to distract her men from such dark thoughts, but everyone in the room knows that Lepton's vengence cannot be quenched without bloodshed.  Lepton will leave the paradise Emy and Kolben have found and begin his hunt.  Emy can feel the sadness in her husband's heart as it is torn between helping his friend and protecting his family.  
 
Dawn comes and Emy, Lepton and Kolben have risen early, fearful that any of them might be gone when they woke.

Emy busies herself early with a pot of coffee and homemade cinnamon rolls, trying desperately to find the smile she usually wore.  Somehow it wasn't coming as easily...either because her worst fears would be realized and Lepton would go after the revenge he seeked with Iuz, or that her worst fears could actually be amplified with Kolben following suit.

Oh!  I knew this day would come eventually...but it doesn't make it any easier!
 
Her smile returned but either of them would plainly see there was an element of sadness and resignation at this terrible day and what it would mean for them.  She finds solace in her husband, finding him for a moment on his own, and wraps her arms round his chest. "Kolben, I'm terrified.  It seems today is the day of resolve.  What are you contemplating!  I can tell you're distracted as well."

Lepton guzzles the brew like the savage he once was, and slams it on the table.
 
"Before I die fighting Iuz, I'd like to see that blue dragon Asche under my axe, and I have a plan to make this happen.  I must find the dragon's bane.  All dragon kind are terrified of it, because it turns them into twisted weak men.  No dragon will be safe until Asche is brought before me.  Then, I will defeat him in single combat.  His dragon-kin will ensure a fair fight.  That is, if you hold the bane, my shapeshifting friend.  Perhaps you can help me locate it Emy, with your unique abilities?"
 
He goes for a bread roll.
 
"Emy, can you write a letter to your acolyte in Greyhawk?  I will need healing potions for this mission.  I cannot pay you now, but you two can have all of the vile dragon's treasure.  My reward will be to hear his dying gasps."
 
Lepton is taken aback at how delicious the rolls are, and seems to forget the issue at hand for a moment.
 
"Greyhawk is dangerous now, for all of us, but I must know if Robin is released.  I will go there soon, and visit your temple Emy.  Would you come with me?"

Emy's face breaks into a smile, and she beams, but only for a moment.

"Greyhawk....yes of course! But the children....."  She looks pleadingly at Kolben, "Lepton will see me safely, Kolben.  Could you manage, for just a spell?"  
 
Emy reaches over and pours Kolben a cup of tea, contemplating Lepton's words over and over again.
 
"I'll not have you speaking this way, Lepton.  Not here....not like this.  the children are present!  You won't die.  And I'll not hear of it anymore, please." She blushes fiercely.  It wasn't like Emy to speak in this way.  Her face seemed lined with dismay and worry.  The children didn't need more worries in their head to keep them up at night, that was for sure.
 
She walks over to the writing desk, and pulls a quill and parchment from the drawer.  She takes a deep breath, and sits again, her quill at the ready.  She dunks it in the ink and looks up at Lepton apologetically, attempting to find the words to start a letter.  Instead she appears to stammer out an apology, "I'm sorry Lepton.  We're all fearful for each other.  I can't bear the thought of you fighting Iuz, and you know it, don't you? "

oc. time passes.  
 
Lepton spends the rest of the morning collecting his equipment then he heads outside and walks the short distance to the teleportation stone.  The black obelisk is embedded in a face of a cliff, it has a massive boulder rolled in front of it, which Lepton rolls back with ease.
 
The rock is like volcanic glass, smooth and splintered.  A faint unearthly glow eminates.
 
He says goodbye to the kids, and shares a respectful glance with Kolben.  
"Just like old times hey Emy?  All set?"  He takes one last glance at the star map and traces a path with his finger.  
 
"Greyhawk"
 
He turns and enters the rock, and the world around him disappears.  He is suspended in blackness.  All sounds are muted in the void to whispers.  The tremendous cold grips him.  He wraps his cape around himself.  In a moment his eyes are adjusted to the dark and countless number of stars appear.  He orients himself using constellations and works out in his head which star is Greyhawk, .  He sets his will on the point of light and the stars slowly begin to shift position as he drifts through the void.   Soon he is caught in it's pull, and accelerates.
 
This rock should bring them to the basement of the Rejuvenator's manor in the stately section of the Greyhawk city.  He had been at the mansion briefly 9 months ago when he first was released from the Ultroloth asteroid.  When he left, Todd was custodian of the estate.  Todd was a random farmer that the Rejevenators befriended all those years ago.  He was put in charge of security during Ulcer's pig ranching days and today handles legal and civic relations for the group.  Along with two live-in Thugs, Jameal and Phistor, he watches over the grounds, the house, and the Rejuvenator's vault which contains a vast fortune of coins, jewels and powerful magic items.  Other staff living at the estate are Aunt Jemima, the rotund and motherly cook, and the Professor, a genious but frail old man who reads ancient tomes and conducts research for the Rejuvenators.  
 
It's anyone's guess what we will find when we arrive in Greyhawk.  The last time Todd was left alone he recruited a small army to defend the Ranch.  At Ulcer's insistance, he had provided all troops with Pig helmets.

Harvey howled in Emy's ear as she hugged him tightly and passed him off to Kolben.  She quickly hugged her kids, biting her lip to keep from crying, and smiled at Kolben as the door began to close.  
 
Am I really going?  Is this really happening?
 
It seemed a little surreal as the stone began to move, after all, she did swear she'd never return to keep Lepton happy one day.  But time passed, situations changed and here she was....
 
She sucked in her breath in anticipation, waiting for the door to open and the light to flood the small space within.  "Here's to adventure" she said weakly, quietly, as though it were an absent minded second thought.  She was really focussed on something much more important.
 
OC Aunt Jemima and pig helmets!  Are you guys serious!  LOL  (i know the answer already.....never..... Grin)

Lepton and Emy both step into the light... one after the other.  They both shivered for a short while.  The black space in between the dimensional gateways of the portal stones was of near arctic temperatures.  They had both made the trek before and were prepared for the cold so it took little time to get sued to it.  Emy casted a simple protection from cold spell on herself and little harvey so they were pretty much unaffected.  Lepton glowed for a few seconds as he absorbed what little damage he had taken from the cold through the mental techniques Kolben had taught him long ago.  
 
A small candle flickers in the corner of the small basement room the Rejuvenators had isolated for the sole purpose of holding the black transportation rock.  Otherwise the room was empty.  A large thick wooden door, to which only members of the Rejuvenators held the key, stood vighilant in the center of the room.  All was silent.  
 
Emy and Lepton had arrived unscathed at the mansion of the Rejuvenators in the free city of Greyhawk.
 
It was then that Emy noticed that a third had followed them through the portal stone.  Her eldest daughter of 9 years shivered on the floor at her feet, unprepared for the blinding cold of the black space of the portal stones.  Kaeli wimpered and held herself tightly with her arms, staring up at Lepton and Emy with wide apologetic eyes.  Kaeli had never left home until now.  
 
C....C....C.....C....So Cold!

OC Emy left Harvey behind didn't she....or is he along with them? Does she have a spell to warm Kaeli up again?

"Kaeli!" Emy's voice cracked with exasperation, and she stooped to bundle her in her arms. "You silly little sneak....it's no place for you here!"  She realized the uselessness in mentioning this, however.  The girl would always have a mind of her own.
 
"Come on, now, let's get you warmed.  You'll have to disguise yourself, Kaeli.  So you'll need your strength.  If you can manage to keep like a bird over our heads or a frog in my satchel, you'll be fine.  Do you think you can do that?  Just until we know it's safe, sweetie.  Attention is one thing we can't handle right now."

ooc- Yes you can cast a protection from cold spell.
 
Kaeli lowers her head and accepts the scolding from her mother.  It was the price to pay for what she wanted and a trip to the Rejeuvenators mansion was worth any puinishment.  Then when Emy tells her to transform into a bird and hide, she is quick to respect her mother's wishes.  Kaeli transforms into a sparrow.  The change is so quick and effortless.  Quicker than Kolben, Emy thinks for a second.  
 
As Kaeli flies and perches on a nearby bookshelf, the door to the teleportation lounge opens and Aunt Jemima waddles in.  
 

 
 
Oh Lord Oh Lord Miss Emy!  It is mighty fine to see you!  It's been so long child!  How are the chitlins and that gorgeous piece of man you hide from poor old Aunt Jamima.

Emy tried fiercely not to giggle, "Oh Auntie you know I'm not hidin' him!" she replies with a grin.   She embraces her warmly, then pulls back and motions to Lepton, "You remember Kolben's good friend, Lepton?  We're travelling together for a spell. "
 
OC Emy casts the spell....do I need to roll something for it?

Aunt Jamima holds the embrace with Emy a little longer than she may have liked...  rubbing her giant ass cheek sized breasts all over the priestess.  Being a priest of love and a home maker, Emy was used to the antics and southern style of Aunt Jamima.  
 
When they were finished, Aunt Jamima looked Lepton up and down and shook her head.
 
mmm...  mmm.... mmm...  A devil in white be like a frozen rain in July.  Spookier than butter on moonpies!  Mornin' Master Lepton.  Will YOU be stayin' long.  
 
Aunt Jamima had never warmed up to Lepton like she had the others.  he was a bit dark for her liking.
