Here?  Yeah I remember the thieves, the auction fiasco, second theft of the tears, Oswalds death, now apparently a third theft or exchange of the tears..... but I thought we were currently looking for a woman trapped under the transparent floor in this structure?

OOC Oh that’s right I forgot about the spirit and Isa left with the other mage right? Hmm..I thought we were looking for a blue staff?  I had a couple paragraphs typed but then I realized I misread Andrew’s post and thankfully edited unfortunately now it doesn’t say much ….what is he thinking reacting in an agreeable manner! Tongue
 
Amara would leave Qualinost and Rigo to do most of the interrogation listening and gleaning as much pertinent information as possible from it. Scooping up the grey tabby she strokes it absently while concentrating on the conversation.

"I don't know what they were or where they went... looked like they used to be human at one time though.  Moved around like ghouls... but truth be known, I think they might have been constructs.  D*mn fast ones.  I don't know where they ran off to," Skamp said then looked off to the distance in the east and motioned with his head, "Maybe that way?"
 
Turning around, everyone sees far off in the distance one small part of the blue sky is blackened with menacing clouds.  It was customary for the jungle to provide torrential downpours daily, but it was regular like clockwork and filled the entire sky.  This seemed ... unnatural.

Azriel mopes after the gang wondering how he ever left such a big tower with such empty pockets.  Perhaps being around this band of do-gooders for so long has been negatively effecting his kleptomania.  He holds his golden pearl he found under the lake up to the sun and examines it.  Hardly a start to his dreams of swimming is a pool full of gold coins.  

"I wish I had a portable hole..."  
He mumbles in regard to Scamp's response to Rigo.

"That would be a more considerable start.  At least I wouldn't have to worry about were to put everything."  (Not sure if Amara's mind reading spell is still active or not)
 
He pockets the pearl and takes out one of his daggers and begins to pick the crud out from under his nails.
 
"You need me to shove this dagger under his fingernails or some such boss?"

Amara looked at Azriel, biting her bottom lip she glanced from him to Qualinost then back to Azriel and back to the elf. Certainly he did not mean to do such a thing!  It was just a scare tactic, right?  Sure it was, Qualinost would not condone such a tactic…would he?  Not that she was holier than thou she did after all kill the guy back at the village, lit his ass up with a lightning bolt, but that was justice… for Simeon.  Not certain of the stability of the rogue Amara stepped in closer to the interrogation sight, but said nothing just yet after all if it was just an attempt to scare the truth out of the guy she didn’t want to spoil it, they needed the information.

Rigo takes his bony finger, and sticks him in the chest once more.  You heard him freak.  What's your favorite color?  Dammit don't make him sick the rookie on you with his pointy little knife.  
 
Rigo turns momentarily facing the other thief, and hops down from whatever perch his is on.  He points at him angrily, but quickly turns attention to Qualinost, and directs his frustration that way. I wasn't even gone that long, and you had to go and find another guy to call you boss.  I thought that was our thing...you had no right...and shoving daggers under fingernails....really?  Is that what we've come to I'm disappointed.  
 
He pulls out his own dagger and looks at the man.  Let's just cut his fingers off one at a time until he tells us what we want to know.  Here I'll show you how it's done.

"Apparently Halflings lack subtlety and forethought...  I'm no rookie, you spent, what, a week in the cage?  I spent my whole life there, you know nothing of 'progressive persuasion'.  Fingers are most sensitive at the tip and if you just go ahead and lop off the whole thing you're loosing out on valuable nerve real estate.  You can slowly scrape off the tips or stick pins in the knuckles and so on."

I thought at first that crazy wizard just gave you a different body but it became obvious that you were gone and Azriel had appeared. You should like him though Rigo, if it was not for Azriel we would have died a few times. He is good at what he does and is a good friend." Qualinost said looking to Rigo and then continued, "As for what you boys want to do to Skamp here, well I cannot say that I disapprove but you guys can work together. Ariel can shave off the tips of the fingers and if that doesn't work, Rigo can cut them off."
 
Qualinost moved back to Amara and whispered in elven, "By the gods I hope they know I was only saying that to scare Skamp."

Skamp was looking very nervous at the exchange and wincing at the thought of losing his most valuable appendages (after all, what good is a cut-purse without fingers?).  When Bryn speaks up, he looks considerably relieved that there was someone sensible in the group. "Yeah," he looked at both of the rogues and Qualinost, "she makes good sense.  You guys don't strike me as the cowardly type."  He looks around hoping to get more backup from the hostile party, then offers, "Look, I'm being truthful here.  I don't know what those things were nor where they came from.  I don't know about anything that I was carrying except they were worth a pretty copper.  But maybe if we head in that direction, I can be of assistance to you.  I can point those creatures out if we see them creeping about."

Rigo pokes him again, hard, and glares at him for a moment.  You heard the boss.  We're tired of the bullshit so watch yourself. Turning back to Azriel Rigo smiles.  You take offense too easily.  I don't think you are a bad thief, just inexperienced, and if you spent your entire life in a cage then maybe you should concentrate on your lock picking skills instead of bragging about persuasion.  
 
He smiles warmly at the rogue. Qualinost speaks highly of you so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.  Still you're no halfling so I won't hold you up to my standards.  That would just be unfair.  Pay attention and try to keep up, and you'll be just fine. It'll be good for you to see a true professional at work.

He pats his stomach, and looks around at everyone expectantly.  Well now that's all settled I think we should eat.  Anyone got anything yummy on them.  Oh I wish I were at this one bar that the succubus Rita ran.  That wasn't her name, but you try pronouncing a demon's name.  I called her Rita, and she didn't seem to mind.  She made the best stew.  Everything was cooked to perfection, and the bread that came with it melted in your mouth. Rigo reaches up and wipes a bit of drool from the side of his mouth.  Yeah stew would be nice.  He rubs his hands together briskly in anticipation. So what we got?

Amara winced and quickly threw her hand over her mouth this would certainly be interpreted as ‘worry’ or motion of disgust as the discussion of various torture methods were being exchanged.   She continued to keep an eye on the situation, not totally convinced that it was anything more than a ruse.  Maybe not to rogues but certainly Qualinost would not resort to such heinous acts, never completely ‘sure’ of anything she continued to linger nearby, just in case she was wrong in her assumptions, there was never any harm in being cautious.  
 
The color drains from her face, but the elf reveals his true intentions before she blows the ruse by interjecting.  However, the heated pissing contest between the two rogues continued to trouble her.  Would they cut up the miscreant just to prove themselves?  Looking from Rigo to Azriel, the color did not immediately return to her cheeks.  Whispering back to Qualinost,” You should take care to not distance yourself from them, just in case they do not understand your true intentions.”  
 
Amara would have to cover a grin that would sneak up on her when Rigo mentioned the fact that Azriel spent time in a cage.  It was ironic a rogue in a cage then prattled on about a succubus she was truly relieved that the rogue had not been doomed to some horrible fate by the befuddled mage.  
 
With the rogue wars at a current stalemate and their captive in one piece the color returned to the mage’s cheeks asking a question of Skamp,” Do we actually ‘need’ you to lead us, can we not just follow the dark cloud on our own volition?”  Still stroking the grey fur of the cat lazing in her arms,” We know you will run at the first opportunity.  So how do we assure safety while he is with us and who is to say he is actually telling the truth?  He will say anything right now out of the need of self preservation.  I could always put him to sleep, he could do no harm them, and if he is leading us into danger then he would be commiting... suicide.”  She laid great empasis on the word 'suicide'.

"Boys!" Qualinost shouted, "Enough of the penis comparison, you are both outstanding rogues and this group is extraordinarily lucky to have you both. You both are also different types of rogues, specializing in different things."  
 
Qualinost looked at Amara who had the best idea what to do with Skamp. "That is a great idea Amara. You can put him under, we will have V here carry him and then head towards those depressingly ominous clouds." Slapping his hands together he nodded to Amara, "Alright dear, do your stuff."  
 
While Amara started her spell he turned to Azriel and Rigo and said, "Once he is asleep, tie him up anyway, just in case he can resist her magic and pretends to just sleep. I don't want him to be able to do anything we do not want him to do." Qualinost then looked at the clouds and back to the boys, "Also, search his things, maybe the scamp that Skamp is has something useful on him."

OOC Amara doesn't actually have the spell, at least I don't think she does  undecided  I was more or less hoping the mere thoughts of her suggestion would at least add to the intimidation factor and if he was lying about something he might fess up as he doesn't know if she is capable of actually putting him out and if he was lying and sending them into an ambush or trap he might fess up now rather than later.  But if Tom's feelin generous he could toss in the sleep spell *bestest most affectionate pertty please eyelash batting technique in the whole wide world*   Smiley

Skamp's eyes darted back and forth nervously as he took a deep gulping swallow.  "Look, ya'll don't need to be putting me to sleep out here.  I'll be reptile lunch for sure.  What if I just go back in the castle and you jar up the door or something?  That'll surely keep me from doing anything dastardly to you."
