Cormac was unsure what to do. He knew his armor served little against such a creature. He had this aversion toward poison of any type. He probably couldn't outrun her so had he took to foot in hopes of getting out of reach she would probably close in on him too quickly. So he needed a diversion. Quickly, reaching into his robe, he ripped off the patch of the row boat and tossed it toward the face of the Naga as he turned about and sprinted toward the wall hoping to get himself some elevation to get out of her reach.

ooc: LOL. I have never ever used a rowboat as a weapon before

In his panic, his aim is way off and the poat does not strike the Naga - however it DOES hit the floor and that causes the patch to change into a rowboat. The Nage gets tangled in it for a moment, slowly her and giving Cormac a chance to outrun her! Meanwhile, Aylana has pulled off the sticky web that had covered her. The Naga can close in on either, but instead stops and begins to recite magical words.

Say Jim, is there anything Thorfinn can do? I'm assuming being charmed he can't really do much. I'm a bit confused as to what Thorfinn can do.

Cormac was able to keep him from helping the other side, but was unable to snap him out of the Charm. The Naga is very hurt, though, so it won't be much longer.

ooc: *sigh* Should have picked magic missile. All I can do is attempt another shocking grasp, or risk it all with a lightning bolt that just might bring the whole place down on them.

Quickly, Cormac raced for Thorfin and hopped behind the dwarf, making sure he (Thorfinn) faced the Naga. Should she do some offensive spell, it should snap him out of it.

The attack disrupts her spell and the snake-woman turns away from Cormac and looks to cast something at Aylana. The Rogue turned Warrior notes that the creature is slower and likely dying.

Aylana is caught in a Hold spell! As she goes rigid, sword held up for a killing blow, Cormac moves up behind the creature with his spell ready. He reaches to touch her and trips over something on the floor! The snake rears around and hisses at him! "Die, vermin!", she screeches, before opening her mouth and moving in for a venomous bite!

Cormac has initiative.

Cormac flips to his back and waits for the Naga to move in for the strike, slapping his hands against her face as she attempts to bite and allowing the stored electricity to discharge at that exact moment. He hopes that it was enough to incapacitate the creature, otherwise they were all in a world of hurt.

You won't believe this, but I just rolled a 20 for Cormac's TH!

Cormac times it perfectly and shocks the Naga - killing her! However, given the situation, he is unable to get out of the way in time. The big human-like head falls on top of him, pinning him to the floor beneath it! He looks to the side and sees that the Held Billy had slowly slid back into the goo and was once again trapped!! His only hope was that Aylana was not is some sort of odd predictiment, too. He could wait until the spell wore off on her. Hopefully.

Suddenly, Cormac hears a voice, "Need a hand, Cormac?" It is Fino, apparently free of the Naga's Charm. Thorfinn is there, too, and together they pick the head off of the Mage. Then they free Billy from the goo. The will have to Dispel the Holds or just wait them out, though.

The wizard thanks the two who help free him from his predicament. "Probably," Cormac says to Billy as he's dusting himself off. "We'll have to search around the piles of garbage and debris to find it. Undoubtedly, she's the type who likes to keep it hidden."

He looked at Aylana and frowned, "What should we do with her?" Turning his head he spots a sparkle in Fino's eyes and shakes his head, "Don't get any ideas about taking advantage of her predicament. We owe her a good deal more respect after nearly single-handedly defeating that thing." He shrugged looking at Aylana again. "Guess she can just take it easy while we do a thorough search for that key. By the time we're done, she should be right as rain."

Cormac proceeded to look around the garbage piles for anything especially noteworthy.

Cormac shrugged, "My opinion, there are many unstable sections of this sunken city. However, the areas we've been in and the creatures we've come across seems to suggest that we are not in any immediate danger for the place crumbling down around us. As long as we are mindful over what we attempt we should be all right. Like cutting holes into walls is right out, and I'm also very hesitant in casting a lightning bolt." He continues to sift around for the Naga's treasure, should she have had any. "We don't know if that creature guarding the elevator is truthful or not when he says that the staff lies beyond him. It is probably in our best interest to be thorough about our search. We might still find some clues to the riddle of the elevator room if nothing else."

Fino finds a fan and fans himself with it for a second, then notices that it continues to fan him. He continues to dig through the mounds of junk and the fan follows him around, constantly cooling him.

Cormac finds an area full of treasures, likely those the Naga had stolen. Aylana returns to normal by the time everything is searched and sorted.
