Rubbing her head with Iflander’s reassurance she relaxed her conspiracy theory for a moment, besides it took her every efforts to keep up with her father’s explanations. Finally she sums up the first portion, not so elegantly but the gist of it,”…so most everything I thought I knew as a child, was a bunch of ‘lies’, and it was all fer my benefit? Only it didn’t go as you hoped it would because I wasn’t who I thought I was, neither were any of you?” The warrior woman growled as it literally pained her to sift through all the information,” Is it any wonder a man’s confused!” She began to pace and talk herself through it occasionally pausing and looking in Elderon’s direction for verification that she was getting it correct,”So, even though I didn’t know the truth about any of it, I was s’pose to react some special way?” She glanced at the mage,”That’s what’s wrong with you folks you can’t just let folks be, you always gotta go wantin to change em, make em what they’re not. I may not have been the brains in the family but hell even I know you can’t make someone into somethin their not. Might fool em a while but if it ain’t real it aint gonna last.” Resentment and anger filling her voice,”…and all those years you preached to me, bout lettin Krystorm go?! And here you were still hanging onto ma?!” Then a light gleamed in the woman’s eyes as strange loud chuckle escaped her, difficult to know if it were the spark of insanity,” Funny thing is I think I turned out more like you than a blood kin could be, you and me, we’re more alike than you think.” It was her turn to feel the need to explain,” Well be both sure don’t like givin up the ones we love to death. You hang onto ma I hold onto Krystorm. Ya’all loved kids, ain’t no denyin how I feel bout em. We both got magic,” She waved her hands at Elderon,”No, no that ain’t what I meant, you got yer wizard stuff, my magic’s right here.” She flexed her muscles for emphasis then continued,”Nah ain’t quite as flashy as that stuff ya’all do, but it saves lives lots of lives. So it can’t be all that bad. Though I couldn't do what ya'all did I did learn to respect it.” With a heavy sigh it would take another long stretch of time before she would converse about the ‘hereafter’. Flustered,” I don’t know who’s helped me, maybe it was ma, maybe it was Krystorm, maybe the gods, maybe not. Someone or something kept me alive the night of the fire, ain’t no denyin it, the who or what well…..” Throwing her arms up,”I’m still tryin to figure out the past and the present, let alone the hereafter.”
